Dr. Martin's Vein and Medical Aesthetics Clinic is proud to introduce to our community a new "soft" makeover, that offers a viable option to some forms of plastic surgery. This new procedure is a viable non-invasive alternative to the old fashioned face-lift, as it requires no surgery, is virtually instantaneous, and requires limited or no recovery time.
Many products and treatments target a single effect of aging, such as fine lines or loss of fullness. This new "soft" makeover is different, as this new procedure combines the benefits of botox with the reconstructive qualities of dermal filler, resulting in a longer lasting effect that simultaneously addresses a number of different signs of aging.
On December 8, 2010, Dr. Martin and her staff hosted a highly successful open house that was attended by both clients and the media. The highlight of the evening was the live demonstration of the "soft" makeover, as demonstrated on Lynda, a 58 year old woman who had noticed over the past few years that her skin had become less supple, fine lines have developed and she had deep grooves in her face. Dr. Martin pointed out that Lynda's cheeks had dropped as a natural result of the loss of the cheek fat pad as it descended.
Dr. Martin had brought Lynda in for her botox treatment before the open house. Botox takes about 2 weeks for full effect, so by that night, Lynda was prepared for part two. Through the use of a close circuit television system, everyone was able to watch and listen to Dr. Martin as she injected the dermal fillers. A total of 6 syringes of dermal filler were used to lift the cheeks, soften the grooves, and fill the fine lines. Forty-five minutes later, Lynda was a new woman looking at least 5 years younger. The bruising and swelling was minimal and we were able to take her "after" pictures within one week.
Not only does Lynda look younger, she has also noticed an improvement in her self-confidence.
She went into the Christmas season with flair and energy, looking terrific!
